A little space to hear yourself again

Somewhere beneath the noise, the responsibilities and the opinions of the outside world, there are things you already know.

The Wellbeing Witch Post is a beautifully illustrated monthly correspondence created to help you become quiet enough to hear them.

Each edition begins with a genuine collective three-card tarot reading for the month ahead. The cards are physically shuffled, drawn and interpreted by Nicky before being transformed into a thoughtful written letter, an original oracle card, a practical wellbeing exercise and a collection of purposeful paper pieces to accompany you through the month.

This is not a prediction of everything that will happen. It is an invitation to notice what is already moving, recognise what may be asking for your attention and create enough space to hear your own response.

Tarot offers the perspective. The wellbeing practice helps to settle the noise. The stationery gives you somewhere to notice and record what unfolds.

October · The Clearing

What becomes visible when the noise begins to settle?

October arrives at a threshold.

Summer’s brightness begins to soften. The pace changes. Familiar routines return, but something within us may no longer fit as comfortably as it once did.

The Clearing is the founding edition of The Wellbeing Witch Post: a collective tarot reading, original oracle artwork, practical wellbeing and reflective stationery created for anyone who feels caught between what has been and what is quietly beginning.

The October reading explores three movements:

What is present
The energy surrounding us as we enter the month.

What asks to be seen
The truth, tension or pattern that may become clearer when we stop looking away.

What is becoming possible
The opening that appears when we make room for a different choice.

The reading is collective, but the reflection belongs entirely to you. You are invited to meet the cards through your own circumstances, questions and inner knowing.

What will arrive through your letterbox

Every element of the October post belongs to one complete visual and reflective experience. Nothing has been added simply to fill an envelope.

The October Collective Letter

A substantial letter containing Nicky’s complete interpretation of the month’s three-card tarot reading.

Rather than presenting three disconnected card meanings, the letter explores the relationship between the cards: what appears to be shifting, where resistance may be felt and what could become possible during the month ahead.

It also offers grounded ways to recognise the reading within your relationships, work, home, identity or inner life—without pretending that one collective reading will manifest in exactly the same way for everyone.

The A5 Three-Card Reading Page

A beautifully illustrated A5 record of the October spread, surrounded by Nicky’s original hand-drawn botanical artwork.

The page shows the three positions within the reading:

Card One · What is present
Card Two · What asks to be seen
Card Three · What is becoming possible

It provides a visual point of reference throughout October and can be displayed, kept inside a journal or returned to whenever you wish to reconnect with the reading.

The Clearing Oracle Card

The first numbered card from The Wellbeing Witch Oracle.

The front contains Nicky’s original hand-drawn illustration of The Clearing. The reverse contains the card’s spiritual meaning, a reflective question, a gentle wellbeing practice and an affirmation to carry through the month.

The October card is marked:

The Wellbeing Witch Oracle · Card 01
The Clearing · October 2026 · Collector’s Edition

Each monthly edition will introduce another original oracle card, allowing subscribers to build a distinctive collection over time.

The Ocrtober Wellbeing Practice

A short, grounded practice designed to help you move beyond thinking about the reading and experience a few minutes of genuine quiet.

October’s Clearing Practice uses slow breathing, sensory awareness and one carefully chosen question to create some distance from mental noise.

It requires approximately five minutes. There is nothing to perform perfectly and no elaborate ritual to complete.

The Carry Card

A small illustrated card holding September’s central question:

What becomes clear when I stop forcing an answer?

Keep it somewhere close throughout the month—as a bookmark, beside your computer, inside your purse or on your bedside table.

It is not a generic affirmation. It is a quiet point of return when the month becomes noisy again.

The Month in Return

A spacious end-of-month reflection card that helps you notice what genuinely unfolded.

Towards the end of October, return to the card and consider:

  • What became clearer?

  • What did I stop carrying?

  • What did I choose or begin?

  • What am I taking forward?

  • What single word belongs to the month I have just lived?

Despite its name, the card does not need to be posted back. It is yours to complete and keep as a private record of the month.

The October Jottings Booklet

A slim A6 booklet containing eight thoughtfully structured pages for the thoughts, patterns, dreams and small realisations that might otherwise disappear.

The booklet guides you gently through the month with space to record:

  • The three cards drawn and the date the letter arrived.

  • What immediately stood out.

  • Where the reading may already be appearing.

  • What you may be resisting.

  • What deserves your attention.

  • Dreams, coincidences and recurring thoughts.

  • What changed during October.

  • What you wish to carry forward.

There is structure when you need it and quiet writing space when you do not. It is intended to support reflection without becoming another demanding journal you feel obliged to complete perfectly.

The October Sticker

One original illustrated sticker by Nicky, another original botanic drawing.

The sticker carries the visual emblem of the October edition in a form designed to be used, kept or added to a journal without losing the mature, illustrated character of the collection.

The October Envelope

The complete edition arrives inside a coordinated wax sealed envelope with its own botanical details, patterned liner and illustrated seal.

The experience begins before the letter is opened. Every flower, colour and paper element belongs to the same October landscape.

The beginning of a collectable Oracle

The Clearing is more than the artwork accompanying September’s reading. It is Card 01 of The Wellbeing Witch Oracle.

Each monthly card will explore an emotional landscape or moment of inner change: a clearing, a threshold, a returning, an unravelling or a beginning that cannot yet be fully named.

The collector’s edition places the complete meaning on the reverse, allowing each card to be used individually as a source of reflection and guidance.

As the collection grows, the cards will form a visual record of the inner year—each one originally drawn by Nicky and created first for members of The Wellbeing Witch Post.

The October Collector’s Edition begins with a question:

What becomes clear when I stop forcing an answer?

One reading, opened in many places

The Tarot cards are drawn once for the collective month ahead. Everyone receives the same central reading, but nobody receives it from the same life.

One person may meet the cards through a relationship. Another may recognise them in her work, her home, her identity or a decision she has been postponing.

The collective nature of the letter is part of its meaning. In different homes and different places, people will open the same envelope and sit with the same questions—each finding her own way through them.

The cards do not make your choices for you. They offer another way of seeing what may already be present.

Drawn, interpreted and made by a real person

Every monthly spread is physically shuffled and drawn by Nicky.

The cards are interpreted as a complete reading rather than reduced to generic definitions. The letter is written in response to that particular spread, and the artwork is developed to express its emotional movement.

The tarot selection and interpretation are not automated. No computer chooses the cards or decides what they mean.

The physical pieces are then designed and assembled as one coherent paper experience: something personal enough to feel considered and beautiful enough to keep.

Made for people who…

Feels pulled in several directions and can no longer hear what they really think.

Carries responsibility for everyone else but rarely creates space for themselves.

Is standing at the edge of a change they cannot yet explain.

Enjoys tarot as a reflective practice without wanting theatrical predictions.

Loves original artwork, beautiful stationery and the feeling of meaningful post arriving through the letterbox.

Wants a gentle monthly ritual that can be entered in a few quiet minutes rather than another elaborate self-care programme.

A letter to live with, not simply open

The Wellbeing Witch Post is designed to unfold slowly.

You might read the full letter as soon as it arrives or wait until you have an undisturbed moment. You might fill several pages of the booklet or write only one sentence. You may understand the reading immediately, or discover its meaning in something that happens later.

There is no correct way to use it.

Open it. Read what calls to you. Keep the question nearby. Notice what changes.

Return at the end of the month and see what became visible.

A gentle note about tarot

The Wellbeing Witch Post offers collective spiritual reflection and personal journalling prompts. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it should not be used as a replacement for professional support.

Tarot can illuminate possibilities, patterns and questions. Your decisions remain your own.

Nicky…

The reader behind the letter

I’m Nicky, the tarot reader, writer and artist behind The Wellbeing Witch Post.

Tarot has been part of my life for many years. Long before I began reading professionally, I used the cards privately—as a way of slowing down, exploring the questions beneath a situation and listening more carefully to what I already sensed but could not always articulate.

Over time, that personal practice developed into a serious study of the craft. I learned the traditional symbolism and structure of tarot, but also how the cards speak to one another within a spread. I became interested not simply in the meaning of an individual card, but in the story created when several cards appear together: the patterns they reveal, the tensions they uncover and the different possibilities they invite us to consider.

I wanted to really learn my craft before being public, so I became a reader through Biddy Tarot, completing more than 100 readings for people seeking insight into relationships, work, identity, change and many of life’s uncertain spaces. Every rated reading received at least 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I have continued to offer private readings and have hosted tarot parties and evenings where people could experience the cards in a warm, relaxed and welcoming setting. These readings have introduced me to an extraordinary range of people, questions and turning points, and they have strengthened my belief that tarot is most powerful when it helps someone see her own circumstances more clearly.

The cards remain part of my ordinary life. I carry a deck with me almost everywhere because family and friends so often ask me to read for them. A conversation over dinner, a weekend away or an unexpected question can become a moment when the cards are brought out and a new perspective begins to emerge.

My reading style is thoughtful, intuitive and grounded. I do not use tarot to create fear, make absolute predictions or tell somebody that her future has already been decided. I read the cards as a connected story—one that can illuminate patterns, open meaningful questions and help us recognise where choice, agency and possibility still exist.

The Wellbeing Witch Post brings together the different parts of my practice: years of personal connection with tarot, formal study, professional and private reading experience, original illustration, beautiful stationery and my love of sending something meaningful through the post.

Every monthly spread is physically shuffled and drawn by me. Every card is considered in relation to the others. Every interpretation is written by me in response to the cards that genuinely appear.

This is not an automated reading or a collection of generic card meanings. It is a real reading, created at my own tarot table and transformed into a letter that can accompany you through the month.
