Gloriously Ordinary ("we", "I") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect, why, and what your rights are. Gloriously Ordinary is the data controller for information collected through gloriouslyordinary.co.uk.

What I collect

When you buy something: your name, email address, billing address and order details. Payment card details are handled directly by my payment provider — I never see or store them.

When you join the letter: your name and email address.

When you contact me: your name, email address and whatever you write in your message.

Automatically: basic analytics about how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device type. Cookies are used to keep the site working and to understand traffic.

Why I use it

To send you the files you've bought and provide customer support (necessary to fulfil our contract). To send you the letter, if you've asked for it (your consent — you can withdraw at any time). To keep records required for tax and accounting (legal obligation). To understand how the site is used so I can improve it (legitimate interest).

Who else sees it

I don't sell or rent your information to anyone. It's shared only with the services that make the shop work: Squarespace (website and store), Stripe (payments), and my email provider for sending the letter. Each processes data on my behalf under their own privacy terms.

How long I keep it

Order records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept for up to two years.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to me at [your email] and I'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies to understand how it's used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
