Room for
another perspective.
Real tarot interpretation, personal correspondence and an original botanical oracle in development. Different formats. One considered approach to reflection.
Three little envelopes.
A personal reading inside.
Each envelope represents a possible theme for a genuine three-card tarot reading. The cards would be selected and interpreted for the buyer's own question, then presented as a written letter. These are illustrative packaging concepts, not finished products or pre-drawn fortunes.

What the tarot-letter format would include
One personally interpreted three-card spread, the written reading, a printed record of the cards drawn, a closing reflection and an illustrated botanical keepsake. Delivered together in an envelope.
What makes it personal
The buyer submits the situation or question they want to explore. The writing examines each card in that context, alongside the other cards. It offers reflection and choice — not predictions or guaranteed outcomes.
The three envelopes are design studies. Personal tarot letters are not currently available to order.
The Ordinary
Botanical Oracle.
Original floral cards with their own written meanings, questions and symbolic themes. This will be a coherent oracle deck, with smaller illustrated packets developed from the same collection — not tarot cards given new labels.
We are developing the artwork and writing before presenting an edition for sale.
Some questions deserve a little room.ORIGINAL BOTANICAL ORACLE · IN DEVELOPMENT
Read before you choose.
Want to understand the difference between a tarot letter and an oracle packet? The tarot letter involves a reading undertaken and written for your question. The oracle packet will contain a fixed, original set of illustrated cards and interpretations for you to use yourself. Both will have complete product previews before either is sold.

And everything they hold.
Planning tools for every gloriously ordinary person: everyday organisation, demanding work, leadership and the inner life behind our decisions.
Not one life.
One way to plan.
Each planner is designed for a real use, rather than repeating the same pages under different covers.

In developmentA planner should serve
the person using it.
Not simply their appointments. Not just their work. The choices they face, the responsibilities they carry, the energy they have and the life they are trying to build.
Something personal.
Worth receiving.
Beautiful correspondence should have a clear purpose. This is what a personal tarot letter by post could look like — and what would actually arrive.
Your question.
My interpretation.
You share a question about a situation, relationship, project or decision. I undertake a genuine three-card tarot reading, interpret each card in its position and in relation to the others, and write an individual letter that draws out the insights and possible choices.
It is not an automatically generated message, a general inspirational letter or a prediction of your future.
- A personal written reading prepared around your question.
- A record of the three tarot cards drawn and their positions.
- Reflections and practical questions arising from the reading.
- A botanical keepsake on original Gloriously Ordinary paper, presented in an envelope.
This is a concept preview. The final format, sample and price will be confirmed before orders open.
A letter about your crossroads
Illustrative sample · Not a real customer's readingDear you,
You asked how to think about the decision ahead. In this example, The Hermit invites you to listen to what you already know; the Two of Wands asks which possibility deserves a considered plan; and the Queen of Pentacles returns us to the resources and responsibilities that must support the choice.
The cards cannot make the decision for you. They can offer a way of asking what matters most — and what a thoughtful next step might be.
With care,Nicola
Three cards.
One considered conversation.
1 · Where things stand. The situation and what is already evident.
2 · What deserves attention. Influences, tensions and possible alternatives.
3 · What remains yours to choose. Questions, next steps and personal agency.
The positions provide a structure for interpretation rather than a formula for predicting outcomes.
Not “what will happen to me?” but “what might help me understand this choice?”PERSONAL · NON-PREDICTIVE · WRITTEN BY A READER
Words to keep.
Not vague promises.
A separate series of authored, theme-based letters may follow. If we offer those, customers will be able to see a substantial sample of the actual writing and the exact pack contents before purchasing. They will not be described as personal tarot readings.
There is more
beneath the ordinary.
A founder-led British creative studio making illustrated paper, thoughtful planning tools and small invitations to live with greater intention.
People matter.
Their lives matter.
There is a person behind every list, a story behind every card, and a private world beneath the apparently ordinary routines of daily life.
Gloriously Ordinary grew from a love of words, original illustration and the belief that useful objects can also carry emotional meaning. Our cards are made for connection; our planners are designed for real lives; our reflective work offers space to explore questions that are rarely simple.
We want people to feel seen — in the words they send, the choices they make and the days they live.
Beautiful living is not luxury. It is attention.
Written, illustrated
and personally considered.
Gloriously Ordinary is founded by Nicola Ball, an author and experienced education leader whose work explores identity, personal change, purposeful living and the human stories beneath professional and everyday roles.
Her creative practice connects original botanical illustration with writing, practical planning and reflective experiences — from the everyday organisation of a teacher or family to the questions that arise when a life begins to change.
The studio is growing deliberately: one carefully developed collection at a time, with ambitions in publishing, conversation, gifting and meaningful retail.
Original botanical illustration
Every collection begins with distinctive original artwork, interpreted across beautiful paper products and carefully considered formats.
Published writing and practical insight
Books, professional experience and thoughtful questions provide depth beneath the design.
Beyond the studio shop
Our surface-pattern collections remain available separately through Spoonflower. The main GO shop focuses on planners, cards, paper, oracle and letters.
